Restricting users to override charge accounts for direct item Category

This is regarding PO charge account overriding issue for direct item and indirect items. We have requirement i.e. when a user creates a requisition or PO for a direct item ( item present in Direct browsing category) , system should prevent user from overriding the charge account. The user should be able to override the charge account in case of requisition/PO created for indirect items ( Items present in Indirect browsing category).

As per our current design, charge account is 8 segment code combination. Segment 4 presents Account code. For direct items we have fixed 4th segment account code. For indirect item it is getting derived from user expense account. In this scenario whenever 4th segment value is fixed account code ( Direct Item), user should not be able to override the charge account. However, for indirect items user should be able to override the charge account.
