Journeys and Rehires

Hello All,

We recently transitioned from Taleo to ORC on March 7. With that implementation, we also implemented Journeys for our preboarding activities. We define preboarding as completing activities post-offer and pre-hire. Since we have to assign an action to trigger the Journey, we are wondering what best practices are for rehires.

We are concerned with the risks of triggering our preboarding Journey using "Create Pending Work Relationship". Mainly, we worry that we are essentially scheduling the activation of employment for the rehire before day 1. It's not uncommon for someone to not pass a background check/drug screen or for them to arrive on day 1. We would have to track anyone in this status, or else their profile would be automatically reactivated. Isn't there another action we could take apart from creating the pending work relationship to assign the Journey to rehires?

Howdy, Stranger!
