Annual accrual rate changed mid-year - how to pro-rate?

Summary:

Hi,

For our Annual Leave, we are using an annual accrual plan. The accrual is calculated through a fast formula and is pro-rated based on hire date of the employee. The business wants an accrual increase starting April 1st and we have updated the FF with the new value effective April 1st. The system should calculate the annual accrual based on this:

Jan-March = 1 day/month; April-Dec = 2 days/month. Total 2022 = 21 days.

But the system is using the new accrual for the entire year, resulting in a value of 24 days/year.

How can we implement an accrual change happening mid-year?

Thank you.
