Benefit Event is triggering incorrectly

I have added a custom attribute on the Work relationship page, and I have defined a Data change that should trigger when there is a change in that attribute but this event is getting triggered when I terminate an employee, has anyone had any idea why is this happening?

NOTE: I have Verified ATTRUBUTE_DATE4 value in PER_PERIODS_OF_SERVICE table and it is NULL
