How to transfer accruals earned post balance transfer

Summary:

What is the best way to transfer accruals that have occurred post balance transfer? The behavior we are seeing has the system transfer plan balances into the new plan as of the plan enrollment date, but when we reprocess accruals for the previous plan, they stay there instead of transferring over to the new plan. How can we transfer the initial balance plus any subsequent accruals into the new plan?

The automated transfer/enrollment is occurring for a large number of employees, so using 'Transfer balance' on the Manage Absences and Entitlements for individual employees is not an option.
