Not able to make DFF Required

Hey Team,
We have configured a DFF in additional info section of Performance Document. However, even if I check it as required, it is not making the field required for me. Through page composer, I confirmed as well, in Global contexts tab of Child components, it shows required only, still it is not making required. Anyone faced similar issue?
