How to link Return Asset with Replaced Asset in Installed Base Asset?

Summary:

Hello Masters,

We have business scenario where Customer returns the defect item and expecting a replacement for it.

So if we do the below steps something is not expected.

  1. Original Order Created
  2. IB Asset Created
  3. Warranty Subscription Created

  1. Referenced RMA Order Created + Added new line for Replaced Item
  2. After Receiving Item, IB details are updated like:
  3. Customer Details are removed and Inventory location updated
  4. Customer Asset End Dated
  5. Covered Level on Subscription are end dated

  1. Replaced Item created a stand alone IB Asset and Warranty Subscription

My doubt is how do we link the Return Asset and Replaced Item?
