New Hire Life Event not triggered for contingent worker

Hello,

I have created a Person Data Change, using PER_PERIODS_OF_SERVICE table and DATE_START column name, and then old and new value 'any value'.

This is picking upo the life event when creating new Employees but is not for Contingent Workers. Should I be using a different table and column for contingent workers?
