Hourly Salary Payroll Calculation FTE less than 1 (PT employees)

edited Oct 28, 2022 5:47PM in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI) 7 comments

Summary:

Is there a way to configure the salary element and/or the salary basis so that it doesn't consider the FTE in the payroll calculation?

Basically, if the salary basis is hourly and the employee's salary is $25, and the employee works 20 hours, and is an FTE of .5... the employee should be paid 20 hours * $25 = $500.

We have tried configuring the element using various periodicity conversion rules and we are unable to find a solution for this calculation.

The Oracle calculation is $25*2080*0.5 (annual salary) =$26,000.

$26,000 / 2080 = $12.5

Then the employee is earning $12.5 * 20 hrs = $250 rather than the $500 the employee should actually earn.

(2080 = salary basis annualization factor)

Howdy, Stranger!
