How to track negative values in Actual/Target of goal measurement

Summary:

Since 20D it is not possible to enter negative numbers for actuals or targets at goal measurement. This is a huge limitation, not supporting correct calculation of the final result.

Content (required):

We are implementing goal and performance modules along with workforce compensation. The final performance result is a basis in workforce compensation for bonus payout, therefore it is important to calculate goal results/overall performance correctly. The targets and actuals are entered at measurement level and with FastFormulas we are calculating the results based on a specific result curve they are using.

The calculation and the process is working fine in case of positive numbers. But since 20D you are not allowed to enter negative numbers at measurement (
