Checklist stuck in Pending Status

We are facing an issue regarding the checklist allocation of the onboarding enterprise. Even though the master checklist and the pre-onboarding enterprise step (which has as action "Add pending worker") are correctly triggered and allocated, when we move to the conversion of the pending to an employee we can see that is gets stuck in "Pending" status:

I should also add that this pending status appears only for the front office employees. When I create and convert a back office employee, the onboarding phase gets allocated correctly after the conversion.

Has anyone faced any similar issue? If yes, please share.
