SR Response:

The CKEditor 4 which is currently used is soon to be decommissioned. Hence there will not be any fixes on CKEditor 4. The future implementation or the replacement of the CKEditor is yet to be confirmed.

So this means that this particular editor will be replaced in future, but thy have no estimated dates for this yet.
