Archive and Purge fields on checklist template respond to checklist completion date?

Hi All,
When configuring the Archive/Purge fields on the checklist template - we had a question about best practices for configuring these fields.
For a checklist to be archived/purged by the Archive and Purge Journey Data ESS - the allocated checklists would have to be forced complete and in the "complete" status for this to happen.
If we have the "Archive After Months" field configured to "12" - will the allocated checklist archive 12 months after the allocated checklist is forced complete?
