Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of accounts a customer may have in Receivables?

Summary:

My customer has asked if they could create a generic customer and create and account for each actual customer. So essentially using the customer account and sites for actual customer specifics. Has any one seen this done? If so, is there a negative impact?
