Auto Approve Absence Request after exceeding the time period of escalation

Summary:

Auto Approve Absence Request after exceeding the time period of escalation

Content (required):

We have a one level escalation requirement after 7 days of ESS Absence approval request and should get auto-approved if the time period exceeds 7 days even at L2 Manager but currently it is getting denied.

Ex: Added Absence from Employee>>sent approval request to L1 Manager>L1 Manager did not respond for 7 days>>escalated to L2 Manager>>L2 Manager also not responded for 7 days>>Then the absence record is getting denied.

Why is it getting denied automatically? Is it the expected behavior? don't we have an option to choose whether it needs to get auto-approved or at least remain as it is in awaiting approval after L2 Manager.

Howdy, Stranger!
