Assigning Journeys to Internal Employees on submitting a Job Application

Hi

We have requirement when an internal candidate applies to a job an alert/notification should be sent to his/her line manager.

We have configured journey of the category Recruiting and configured the action as "update Assignment EFF" and event as "Internal application submitted". But this is not assigning journeys to the internal applicant. Anyone configured journeys based on events?
