Global Shipments - Inventory Orgs Required for Trade Intransit Receipt Transactions

Summary: Is it possible to process global shipments without setting up logical inventory organizations in whih Trade In-Transit Receipt transactions are processed?  

Content (required): The client has 25 distributors (subsidiaries/related companies) of their product with all warehouse stock owned by the principal (central LE). Sales orders are fulfilled from 20 warehouses in 20 countries. The distributors do not own any stock and fulfill all sales orders from the principal's warehouses. They do not have any warehouses themselves. All inventory orgs will belong to the Principal LE. We want to fulfill sales orders placed in the distributor BUs by processing internal drop shipments/global shipments directly from the principal's stock and shipping them to the distributors' customers.
