Suggested Start Date for Make orders

Manufacturing Users keep requesting the Start date of work order to be made editable and recalculated anytime a new firm date is entered

I have had this request from many users in past too, so I decided to pose this question again to the community -

The suggested due date is the work order completion date. The firm date/implement date entered by users become the new due date or the WO completion date, but the new start date is not calculated/displayed or editable. Many a times, the users entering manual make-planned orders or editing the suggested planned orders might only want to create them using the start date, not the completion date. otherwise, they have to calculate in their minds what the firm date should be for such orders (based on the lead times etc). If we had another field to display the new start
