Scannable text box to be read only

Hi Team,

Today when a user uses the scanner next to the text box that automatically populates the data in the text box. Sometimes he mistakenly types something extra on top of the scanned text and that data becomes useless for us in the backend.

Is there any way to make the scannable text boxes read only so that user is not allowed to add anything extra.
