EL Expression Builder to restrict editing of approved existing absences

Is it somehow possible to restrict employees from editing Ongoing (=In progress) approved absences? If there could be some EL Expression for this using Page Composer? HR Specialists should have possibility to edit them. Also it would be needed to restrict this only to certain Absence types (not all). Could this be possible and has anyone done something similar?
