unpaid leave for salaried employees

We are currently exploring the development of an absence management plan for unpaid days that would result in a reduction of an individual's biweekly salary. While we have successfully established the necessary elements and absence plan types, we have encountered a challenge in implementing the deduction from regular pay. The absence itself is being recorded accurately, but we have not been able to generate the corresponding negative pay adjustment.

Has anyone had experience in configuring an absence plan that effectively lowers an employee's biweekly pay?
