How to handle included warranty based on usage
As of now, included warranty subscriptions can be created from Sales order shipment. We provide warranty tenure at item level and the subscription line would be fetching the warranty period by auto populating the start and end dates of warranty.
However, we would need to have a warranty based on meter reading in our case now. For example, we ship a lamp for which we give a warranty of 3000 hours. We track this in Asset meters however, we would have to define the warranty based on the meter reading. The moment the reading cross 3000 hours, irrespective of the subscription end date, warranty must be cancelled. How can the same be handled ?
