I get an error adding duplicated members from UI

I'd like to add duplicated members across different dimensions. I've read on the official documentation that EPCMCS supports duplicated members, but when I try to add a member i get the following message: 'An object with the name 001 already exists'.

How can I allow duplicated members across different dimensions in the application? I've read that it is necessary to use the Fully Qualified Name, but when user adds a member directly in the hierarchie from UI, he should insert only the member in the correct position, while the fully qualified name should be used automatically by the application. In other PCM application I manage is like that.
