Questionnaire Translation- Unable to add translation to an existing Questionnaire

Hello,
we are trying to add a translation in Italian to an already existing Questionnaire in production and, when we click on Edit--Update existing questionnaire, and select the translation editor icon, we can not modify the text for the language that we want to edit, because it appears as read only and so, we are unable to delete or insert anything.
Please note that in our test environment, we are able to add the translations without any problem to a questionnaire which has the exact same configuration as the one in prod.
We also noticed that in prod, if we create another questionnaire, based on the same template, we are able to add translations. However we want to keep using the initial questionnaire, because this is the one used for a long time and many reports are based on it.
