After associating Absence Type to Plan, will type retroactively deduct from the plan balance?

Hi,

We are supposed to have a Absence Type associated to a Plan, where for example, an employee takes an absence (absence Type), it will deduct hours from the plan associated with it.

However, we did not link the type and plan and we just realized now.

Once we make the change for the type to pull from plan balance, will it retroactively deduct from the absence plan balance?

Example scenario to understand:

Today is March 3rd 2024 and an employee had taken 'Absence Type' absence on Jan 5th 2024. Now assuming we update the configuration setup to ensure the type pulls from plan balance today, will the type retroactively deduct from the plan balance? Meaning will the system automatically deduct from the plan for the Jan 5th absence? I tried this in a lower environment and didn't see that happening, but I just want to confirm whether this will affect employees' pay.

Howdy, Stranger!
