How to notify task owner of overdue task(s)?

Is it possible to notify a task owner of an overdue task?

It looks like it is possible to notify a task owner of an expired task, however it is not possible to notify a task owner of an overdue task from what I can find. Am I missing something? What solutions have you found to communicate overdue tasks to the task owners?
