Changing the search parameter from "start with" to "contains" in the address mask with Geographies

in Sales 5 comments

Dear Members of the Oracle Cloud Customer Connect Community,

We're currently utilizing Geographies to ensure the accuracy of our addresses through validation. To enhance user experience, we've enabled the pick list option, limiting displayed options to predefined addresses and values.

However, we've encountered a specific challenge in our use case. When users search for street names in Switzerland, such as "Rue de Example" or "Chemin de Example," they often encounter difficulty due to the "starts with" search parameter. For instance, entering "Rue de" returns numerous streets, leading to potential confusion.

We have the question if it is possible to adjusting the search parameter from "starts with" to "contains"? This modification would allow users to simply enter "Example" and view relevant results, including "Rue de Example" and "Chemin de Example."

Howdy, Stranger!
