How to mass update the destination type for all users' preferences

Hello guys,

I have a request from the business. They face a lot of issues regarding choosing the inventory item while creating a purchase requisition, but mistakenly, they forget to choose the destination type as inventory.

What I want to do is to find if there is any API that can update the destination type within the user preference screen and set it to inventory. Additionally, I want to make the destination type LOV read-only at the PR level.

If anyone has another workaround, I would be grateful.
