Sales Products Setup, does it require Inventory Management setup or it is only PIM

Summary: Implementing Sales Cloud and it requires Product hierarchy setup. Do we need Inventory Management setup, as we have multiple Orgs and we do not use the Oracle fusion for our SCM process.

Please let us know what level of Inventory module needs to be implemented, is that PIM only and require only Master Org, or if the sale to be recognized for individual branches, do we need the products assigned to respective orgs. In that case we need to review the Standardization of items for orgs and also category assignments. We want to keep minimal to Sales Cloud only. Please advise
