Conflict - post-election FF for HSA and Benefits Admin (overage dependent)

edited Jun 4, 2024 4:07PM in Benefits 1 comment

We have a post-election FF to evaluate the HSA for medical coverage - it is on Program→Plan - HSA.

On the Program → we have a Life Event for Benefit Admin Life Event.

Question: Dependent ages out in April. Coverage needs to go from EE + Child(ren) to Employee Only. If we use the Life Event for aging out, the post-election formula works perfectly. If we do a Benefits Admin event after the effective date of the overage (May). It fails on the post-election formula, stating you have to have Medical for HSA.

Does Benefits Admin run thru looking for interfering, preceding life events? I realize that we should use proper events but was wondering how Benefits Admin will work when there is something in front of the event.

Howdy, Stranger!
