Open enrollment - dates question

Summary:

Hi,

I would like to know about the dates that we use to setup the open enrollment period. So, if i want the open enrollment to begin Oct 01- Oct 31, but benefits should be effective Jan 01st of the following year.

Could anyone advise what dates i should use to achieve this.
