Mass delete 'Open' life event in detected status

Summary:

Hi,

We have a situation wherein the client ran the open life event for all employees and now they want to delete the event in detected status. We ran the process for backing out life event and then purging them. However, there is no option to delete the Open life event in detected status.

Can anyone advise as to how we can delete for the mass population.
