Manage intervening life event during open enrollment

Hi,

I want to know how to manage an intervening life event during open enrolment.

Example

Open Enrolment window started :01- Jun to 15-Jun

Assignment category happened on 05th June.

When assignment category is evaluated on 05th June , it backs out the open life event.

How do we handle this scenario? How to again reopen the open life event after the intervening life event is processed?

Does this needs to have manual intervention?
