Journeys not triggering

We are trying to test some journeys and they are not triggering.

We have selected the allocation criteria to be 'When the action record becomes effective'. In the actions and events tab, under configured events, we have mentioned the actions type for which journeys need to be initiated. But still, once absence is approved, the journey is not triggered.
