Identification of history of changes made on customer records

We understand from the Oracle documents that enabling audit reports will help us track all the changes performed on the various objects and attributes in Oracle Fusion Applications.
We also understand that this will only help us to have the information about the objects/attributes AFTER the audit policy is enabled, which means the change is prospective.
We noticed that a customer's name was changed recently and before we find out the person who made these changes, the customer's name was corrected by one of our IT employees.
When we navigate to Manage Customers page and search for the customer, it is giving only 'last updated by' and 'last updated date' details from View--> 'About this record' screen.

Howdy, Stranger!
