Hide Edit Button Approval Notification

edited Jul 9, 2024 3:37PM in Human Capital Management 4 comments

Case:

Request a new Position need to be approved by Line Manager +1.

Though, he is not supposed to make any changes. This could be prevented by hiding the Edit Button on the Approval Notification. Using Profile Values like "BIP_ONLINE_HIDE_EDIT_HCM(….)" cannot be applied because approvers afterwards need to edit the transaction, actually. Setting profile values on user level is not an option.

Any Ideas how to Hide Edit Buttons in Approval Notifications except via Profile Value?

A creative idea from me was: Custom Data Position Security Policy.

Herewith, I tried to set up line managers to only edit positions in their own department. Line Managers+1 can indeed not find positions outside their department in transaction "Request Position Change". Subordinate Line Managers are in different departments.

Howdy, Stranger!
