Custom notification for pending worker

We are required to send a custom notification to the employees with a preboarding journey assigned with the reset password link and username details and standard user creation email for other workers who don't have any preboarding. We are using the journey category "Onboarding". No token for the pending worker username is available in the alert composer notification for journey allocation. Can someone guide me on how to achieve this?
