Editing the Performance Rating Model that is in use

Summary:

Hi all, We currently have a 5 level rating model that is in use on our Performance cycle. We have been asked to add another sixth level to this model. The system appears to allow you to edit the current rating model. Are there any impacts to making edits and adding levels to an in use Rating Model. I am concerned it will impact the look/functionality of previous cycles and reporting for instance.
