Can the Remit To Address on Transaction updated through REST API / SOAP Service

Summary:

Customer is looking into updating the defaulted Remit to Address on Transaction after Autoinvoice import. There is a business requirement to set specific remit to address based on the branch associated to the AR Transaction which cannot be put into Receipt From Criteria defaulted logic (Country, State, Postal Code Low/High).

Are there any REST API, SOAP service or means we could leverage to update the remit to address on the AR Transaction following business rules.

We tried below and the request response is showing OK but the remit to address is not changing at the transaction level. Thanks
