Need possible solutions to cancel the stuck invoices due to expired cost center

Summary:

There are many invoices in our system that are stuck due to having expired cost centers. Enabling the Self Healing profile option does not work when trying to cancel these. The only solution we have been able to find is reactivating these cost centers and then performing a cancellation, which is a very manual process. Could you please look into if there are any other possible solutions?
