Audit to track automatic outgoing candidate messages in ORC

Is there a way to track outgoing emails to candidates, such as automatic rejection emails? We have these messages configured to be sent automatically when candidates reach specific phases or states in the application process. While we can monitor when candidates enter these phases, is there a way to verify if the email was actually sent to the candidate?
