Can email notifications be shut down for particular user?

Summary: The firm have setup a user account to schedule the Initiate Approval process for payable Invoices, there are various sources from which invoices are interfaced into Oracle. Due to the number of invoices that would be interfaced from one of the sources it would be practically impossible to filter the invoices that actually need user intervention or worth keeping track from the generic ones. Hence, our primary requirment is to disable auto approval notifications (from the source that has the most volume/ or auto approval notifications in general) in the form of email to the user.
