Use Routing to move activity from Resource non-scheduled to original bucket?

Summary: We have a technician and office user behavioural challenge to overcome:-

  1. Technicians leaving assigned customer activities on their Routes overnight that are of 'Pending' status (not started/suspended etc.).
  2. We applied a Message scenario step to move these activities to resource non-scheduled overnight so they didn't become locked by 'Overnight work' settings + apply a property identifier of 'Overnight Job'.
  3. We though back-office teams could use a custom Filter daily to identify and manually move these activities back to their bucket of origin.
  4. Point #3 gets overlooked daily and we now have a daily challenge of reminding users to move these activities manually
