Content folder

We're archiving a few years' worth of images and have 25k+ in our Content folder's Recycle Bin. We have everything back-end up locally and simply want to know how the Recycle Bin works.

  1. Should we simply wait for X days until what is in there automagically is removed?
  2. Is there a ceiling above which it isn't advisable to keep adding to the file count in Recycle Bin?
  3. If we want to delete this deadwood more quickly, should we open a SR to do so?
