Can we hide old performance documents from employee view?

How can we hide old performance documents from employees in Redwood?

We have been using performance for 6 years, so some employees have a lot of performance documents in the system. In responsive, this hasn't been a problem, because they are neatly sectioned up and hidden away until you select the review year.
In Redwood they now appear in a big long list, without any filters to make the page seem less busy.
Is there any way to hide the oldest documents? We'd want no more than 3 years of docs visible at a time.
