Can we add custom fields in Production scheduling

We would like to understand if we can add custom fields in production scheduling, either directly or indirectly. We currently can see if the Work Order is released or not released, we would also like to see if work order is scheduled. Hence please let us know if anyone has setup custom fields in Production Scheduling
