Mass cancel and delete perfomance for a subset of population

Summary:

We are in the process of cancelling and deleting performance document for a subset of population. However when a cancel performance document is created it either gives the total list by performance document name or base of manager, business unit, department etc. I tried to search for the records based of performance document template. But when i delete uncesseary records from the HSDL it is still deleting/cancelling all the records that are tied up to performance document template selected.

Is there a way we can cancel/delete the performance document only to a certain set of population?
