What does this mean?

When exporting a report to a PDF I get an error message:

Oracle Service Cloud Error

An error has occurred.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The report exports to MS Excel just fine - other reports that I created based on this report also export to PDF just fine.  I've checked the Table joins and the filters and everything seems in order.  I've also used the analyze button and it doesn't report any problems.

Any idea what is happening?
