Absences - Weekly UOM

edited Feb 5, 2025 10:15PM in Workforce Management 4 comments

Hi

In the Absences Module, we have 3 unit of measure options for Absence Types and Plans:

Hourly

Daily

Weekly

The Hourly and Daily UOMs work exactly as expected and factor in the employee's work schedule, calendar events/public holidays.

The Weekly UOM does not factor in the employee's work schedule or calendar events. So for example, if someone works Monday to Friday and puts in a leave request starting on Monday and finishing on Wednesday for a leave type that has to be in Weekly UOM from a compliance perspective.

We would expect that the UOM looks at the employee's work schedule and that Monday to Friday equates to one working week for that employee and so a request that has a duration of 3 days, we would expect the leave request to be 0.6 of a week and instead this calculating as 0.43.

Howdy, Stranger!
