Character count in Goals and Performance Comment boxes

Is there a way to configure a character count on the goals and performance comment boxes

Hi

We have recieved a lot of feedback from our business on the fact that the goals and performance boxes are limited to 2000 characters, and whilst we know that we can not configure the number of characters that are in these boxes, is there a way that we can configure them to show how many characters are being used.

Similair to the count on My Oracle Support SR's.

Any support or guidance is appreciated.
